Detailed Itinerary
Marrakech - High-Atlas - Telouet - Ait Ben Haddou
Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Riad/hotel in Marrakech at 09 AM. Drive to the High-Atlas Mountains that stand like a wall dividing Morocco into two parts with snow-capped peaks throughout the year. Once we arrive to the administrative center of Tahanaouet, which is know for the traditional weekly Souk (market) that takes place every Tuesday.
We will drive through the snaky road of the Moulay Ibrahim Gorge before reaching the Asni center, which is famous for the weekly market that takes place every Saturday. Berbers from the mountain tend to come for the purpose of buying the products they would need for the whole week. The views of the Asni Valley are stunning offering excellent options for taking memorable shots.
Once we arrive to Sidi Faress Village, we will visit a Berber family where we will learn about their unique style of life and share a mint tea with them. Continue on the track to join the third Valley of Ourika, then to the Setti Fatma Village where you can include a soft hike up to the waterfalls.
We will have a delicious meal for lunch under the shade of the wallnut trees by the stream. In the late afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech.
